PONTIFICAL HIGH MASS. 3AR BROADCAST TO-MORROW. To-morrow, Sunday, October 7th, 3AR (Melbourne) will broadcast the Poiitifiial High Mass from St. Ignatius Church, Richmond, at 11 a.m. (Melbourne time). The ceremony will he presided over by Cardinal Cerretti, tlie Mass will ho conducted by the Right Rev. Dr. Ryan. Bishop of Sale, and the preacher will be the Rev. Father Martindale, British Envoy to the Eucharistic Congress. During the afternoon the ceremony of the blessing of the New Spires will he performed and an address given by the Papal Legate. A choir of sixty picked voices will render the Mass from the “Sacred Heart” and the “Hallelujah Chorus” will close the ceremony. It- may he mentioned that it is anticipated that the crowd will he so dense in the afternoon that the blessing of the spires will take place in the quadrangle behind the church. The officiating clergy and those taking an active part, in the various ceremonies will wear dress reminiscent of the Elizabethan period, and the event will he regarded as most important from both historical and religious aspect.
