{Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Aug 12. _ The Dominion Meteorologist's forecast is as ' follows : A depression still lies across the Dominion. A rather , intense anticyclone is centred near, Hobart. Moderate to strong northerly winds north of Wcetport and Kaikoura, southerlies elsewhere, gradually extending northwards. 'Seas rather rough in the Cook Strait region, but mainly moderate elsewhere. Moderate to fresh south west to south east winds, and moderate seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather cloudy and unsettled, with rain in most districts, but bhly scattered in the South Island. Cold temperatures in the South and extending gradually to more northern districts.
