A long -ores of attacks upon opponents of the Government bv professional patriots culminated on Monday night in the assassination oi three lawyers, and seriously wounding two others, while thev were conferring how to provent the withdrawal of the criminal charges against the chief of police at the town oi Wakayama, near Osaka. The assailants. seven in number, are meml-brs of the ’ Wakayama National Spirit Preservation Society and they forced their way into the conference, demanding that the charges against the police of mistreating prior election political prisoners lie dropped. Meeting with refusal the thugs drew daggers. attacking viciously. Tin assailants all surrendered to the police.
