A statement was. made by the Now Zealand Olympic Council today that it has been . reluctantly forced to abandon the proposal to include a. rowing eight in the team for Amsterdam.. ; ' . , : The . full team now consists •; or Misses Sliller and Stockley, swim-mers-.'Miss Wilson, runner; Lay, javelin; Lindsay, swimmer; Morgan, and Clever ley, boxers; jVloorhouse, swimmer. Dr Porritt, the runner, now in England, will captain the team. • . '. Sirs Amos:, wife of the ■ chairman of the council, will be chaperon, She makes the trip at her' own expense, and will be with the team from the time of departure from New : Zealand until it returns.; Mr Amos goes as manager, and w oe. New Zealand’s authoritative representative at, Amsterdam and in social functions. . .
