With bows badly buckled, and the lorepart of the maindeck smashed to matchwood, the Canadian Pacific liner Montrose arrived at Liverpool, the captain, reporting that the ship had been in collision with an iceberg in a. dense log eight hundred miles from the Canadian coast. Two of the crew were killed and two passengers in hired. The impact was terrific. Fortunately the sea was calm. There was no panic on board.
