PEACE SHIELD TOURNEY . 20 RINKS ENTERED DRAW! FOR MATCHES The Peace Shield howling tournament, the annual New Year fixture in Gisborne, has attracted an entry of 26 rinks, in which, of course, local clubs have the largest representations,,. 24 of the rinks being drawn frgm the three Gisborne clubs, whilst Tolaga Bay. and New Plymouth are represented by one rink each. Kahutia ’has entered. nine, Gisborne eight, and Poverty Bay seven rinks. The matches will he played in .three, section’s, two of eight and one of ten rinks. , “ y ■ - Tournament games will commence simultaneously on the Gisborne, Kahutia, and Poverty Bay greens at 9 a.m. on Monday, by Messrs J. J. Martin. D. G. Robertson and W. J. McGibbon respectively. Therefore all bowls must ho on the greens for examination by 8.45 a.m. it being the intention of the Gisborne Bowling Centre to observe the rule 'that ail howls must bear the stamp of 1925 or subsequent years.
