OBITUARY.
MR, AV. F. J. ANDERSON. Deep regret will he felt throughout a wide circle of friends in both Poverty Bay and Hawke’s Bay at the news of the death at Napier, on Alo-n----day, of Air. AVilliam Francis John Anderson. About 40 years ago Air. Anderson joined the staff of Messrs. Alurray, Roberts and Gods Napier branch, in which employment he remained for some time, then resigning, to take up the position of secretary to the Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Association. In 1905 his old firm decided to start a branch at Gisborne, arid Air. Anderson was appointed manager, filling that post for eleven years, when he was transferred to -Napier, ns manager there. He. hold that position until a few months ago, when illhealth compelled his resignation. Deepest sympathy will he extended to tho members of his. family, wlnr are all grown-up, and comprise: Dr. Colin Anderson ,of Dunedin ; Air. .-Stewart Anderson, of the Ta.upo Timber Co. , Air. Benjamin Anderson, of Christchurch ; and Aliss Alison Anderson, who at present is returning from England.. His wife predeceased him some eight years ago. The funeral takes place io-clay at Napier.
