T.U.C.’s INVITATION TO EMPLOYERS.
A. UNIQUE CONFERENCE

The invitation sent to the Council of the Trades Union Congress by representatives of- a large group of employers to attend a round-table conference to discuss tlio best means of. securing peace in industry will not ho formally considered until tlio meeting of the General Council, representing 5,000',000 workers, on December 20. ■ • It is stated that the invitation will he accepted subject to certain limitations, in. the scope cf t-lio .conference, which will be tlio first of its kind in the history of British industry. The trades unions will suggest that only the principles of lasting, peace should be considered at such conferences, and that as a .preliminary step they will request the employers to indicate 1 measures whereby greater cooperation securing mutual benefits to both parties can be secured. — British Official Wireless.
