A FURTHER PROTEST

The pernicious practice of burying inmates of the Memorial'Home, who died penniless, in paupers’ graves, discussed at the last meeting of the |Dook Hospital Board, was mentioned at the' Beard meeting yesterday. The chairman (Mr W., G. Sherratt) stated it vvas proposed to purchase a hospital plot in which inmates of the home who died in the institution Would be interred. . The death vyould be advertised in the press- to give relatives, and friends intimation. There would be no paupers graves.in future, future. '

Coleman objected to the purchase of a hospital plot, contending ; that the same stigma that attacked to the burial of a person in a s grave would attach to burials in l a hospital plot. , , ? Mr -M.
