POVERTY BAY 'ASSOCIATION

A meeting of the executive of the Poverty Bay Hockey Association was held last evening. Mr A. Casein presiding over a full attendance of delegates. The Opotiki Association wired asking if the Poverty Bay men’s team was visiting them on Saturday next. The secretary was instructed to reply that it is impossible to send a team owing to the players not being able to obtain leave. A committee consisting of hvc members were appointed to revise rules during tlui off season and to have them ready for revision at the first meeting of the executive next season.

The secretary was instructed to write to the Maimwatu Association thanking theni lor their kindness towards our lady players while in Palmerston North at the championship, also to those, who billeted them. This week’s fixtures word arranged as follow :—Thursday : Men’s knockout competition, Forresters v. Kia Karo at 2.30 p.m.; referees. Messrs Siiu and Heiulersou.
