POVERTY BAY ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the execulive of the Poverty Bay .Hockey Association 'was held last evening, Air A. Cassia presiding over a fair attendance.
A letter was received from the N.Z. Hockey Association 'asking for nominations of men players for the New Zealand team to tour Australia, the. players to find their travelling expenses to and from Australia, also to and from the port of departure, the expenses incurred in Australia to be borne by the Australian Hockey' Association. The selectors were instructed to approach players who they thought- fit for New Zealand icpvesentative honors, and aAc if they were prepared to go under the conditions and report to next meeting. The approximate cost is about £SO. I It was decided to try and arrange for a. monks representative .Team to take part in the men’s championship tournament in Auckland'to commence on August i. As the second round of the. men’s competition is nearing completion it was decided to draw Te Kiiraka in the first match, commencing on June 23.. .
