The action of the English Rugby League in breaking the agreement • elating to the residential qualifications of the Australian and New Zealand players is strongly resented in •New South Wales, Rugby League delegates moot during the coming week and probably the matter will lie discussed and some action taken to counteract the English- intentions. It is stated that already an agent of the Huddersfield'Club "has secured one Non- South Wales player, and that several others both in New South Wales and Queensland have been approached.—TJ.P.A, .. ,

ENGLISH LEAGUE TO BE ASKED TO DEFER DECISION
(Received June 14, 1.20 a.m.) ■ SYDNEY, Juno 13. A. meeting of the New South Wales Rugby League considered the breaking of the residential qualifications by the English League and decided to get into touch , with the League authorities in Queensland and New Zealand, with a view to arriving at a common complaint which will lie forwarded to the English League as soon as possible in order to prevent further action by agents of English clubs with the object of securing Australian players. It was further decided that the English League be requested to defer the lifting of the ban until the English team is in Australia next season, when it is hoped a conference of managers of the team and representatives of New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand trill be aide to reach a satisfactory agreement.—U.P.A.
