The East Coast" Rabbit Board mot on Saturday, Air. E. Al. Hutchinson presiding. inspector Ji. Burgess reported „hat during the past month rabbits were, reported to have been seen, on the road between Kutarere and Nukuhti, also on the road near Y\a'--niann. Together with one of the rahbiters he gave the country a. thorough search, and could find no traces of rabbits. Rabbits killed in his district curing the past month wore as follow. To Toko 1, AVaiohau /, To Honin' and Kopuriki 2. Galatea station I, To \\ Haiti 13; total, ].(>. Inspector T. Dawson reported having visited a fair portion of the Wairoa country, finding conditions) in good order. He • discovered odd traces on Jiohaka No. 1 block and on Pntore, but ho was having these places attended to. lie also found odd traces of rabbits at To 'liiii. where one rabbit has been caught up to the time of writing. Me had two men working on this place and hope*;! to have it clear by the end of the month. The reports wore adopted, it was agreed that in the meantime the board should not appoint a chief inspector to replace 1 the late Air, A. McGill, but should carry on for the present with its. two sub-in-spectors, who, in the opinion of. the members, were fully able to administer their own districts.
Accounts amounting to £642 18s8d wore passed for payment.
