DOMINION NEWS

MISHAP TO THE BARON RUTHYEN. AUCKLAND, May 7. After an uneventful voyage right across the Pacific, tht steamer Baron Ruth veil met with a mishap when coming up the harbor this morning. Her engines jammed when an attempt was made to put them into reverse, and, carried by an incoming tide and a strong easterly wind, she drifted on to the hulk Glndbrook. Fortunately neither vessel sustained any worse damage than the loss of some paint and some slight dents.—P.A.
