TEACHERS' IN AUCKLAND
. AUCKLAND,, April G. Tlie Education Board to-day had a lengthy discussion on the excess of.teachers seeking employment, it being stated that there were* in the district- 137 who do not hold permanent positions, while teachers from other provinces were flocking to Auckland. The board agreed to recommend the department that superannuated teachers be -not employed without the special permission of the hoard or executive, and that a clause .he inserted in the Education Act giving hoards discretionary power in the matter ,of employing married teachers.—-P.A.
