SECRET ARMS IN HUNGARY. STORED IN CONCEALED- DEPOTS PLAN TO RECOVER BUR GENLAND. WILL ITALY ASSIST? (Received Jan. 21, 11.20 p.m A LONDON, Jan. 21., The Daily Mail’s Vienna correspondent states that Dr Deutsche, a former Austrian Socialist War Minister, asserts that complete equipment, including powerful artillery for 600, 000 troops, is stored in concealed depots throughout Hungary. There is also a modern factory near Lake Balaton which is producing bombs and poison gas. The statement has caused a sensation in Austria, because the Socialists accept Dr Deutsche’s view that Hungary is making plans to recover Burgenland with .the assistance of Italy.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
