The Canadian Migration Office expects a 60 per cent, increase in the arrival of farm workers as a result of a further cut iu the fare by £1 all round. English and Scottish migrants in future will be carried to Halifax, St. John and Quebec for £2 per capita. - WINNIPEG, Oct. 22.
-- A great drive has begun in every western province of Canada to secure thousands of British settlers next spring, sunnlenienting the efforts of the liew Minister for Migration. The Provincial Governments, the Hudson’s Bay Co., the railways, and the Anglican Church are uniting to form practical plans. The Mennonite Immigration Society state that 10,000 members of the Mennonite sect from Russia are coming next year.—A.N.Z.C.A.
