FIGHTING FLAMES
FARMERS HAVE ANXIOUS TIME
IN BUSH FIRES
SYDNEY, Dec. 1
Bush fires continue to rage in many parts of the State and are taking toll of the crops and valuable fodder. Telephone communication with some places on the north coast is cut off. Around Armidale the farmers are having an anxious time and the outbreaks arc being subdued only after hours of hard fighting. At Casino a sawmill valued at £SOOO was destroyed.—U.P.A. ■
