NOT BASED ON FARLEY’S INFORMATION.

SYDNEY, Oct. 13. Giving evidence before the Select Committee investigating the alleged bribery plot, Mr Willis, vice-presi-dent of the Executive Council and Chairman of directors of the Labor Daily newspaper, said he had no knoAvledge of the alleged plot before the publication in the Labor Daily of an article alleging that a plot existed. It Avas not published Avith his know ledge. After the article Avas published Mr Farley came to his house, and that Avas the first time he knoAvingly had seen Air Farley. The latter called on him tAvice aftenvards, but Air Willis refused to have anything to do with him. Later, the editor of the Labor Daily told Air Willis that the articles Avere not based on information received from Air Farley. The committee adjourned sine die. —U.r.A.
