EVERYBODY’S THEATRE
THE BELOVED BRUTE” AND SAM STERN, COMEDIAN,
“The Beloved Brute,” which will ho finally shown at Everybody’s to-night, is an exciting tale of a hard-fisted fighting brute and his regeneration, which is effected, not by evangelistic workers making emotional appeals, hut by sheer strength of another rugged fighting man, whose fists prove even harder than “The Brute’s” own. There is a girl in the story, too,: and it is for love of her that the two men match their strength. Marguerite de la Motte furnishes a very logical reason why two brawny, red-blood-ed men should have strangled each other. Victor MacLaglen, one of the best-known British motion picture actors, appears in the title role. In addition to being a virile actor, Mr MacLaglen is a well-known athlete, boxer wrestler, swordsman and horseman, is the man who tames “The Brute.” The supporting pictures, are “The Hunted Honeymoon,” Comedy, Bathe Gazette, and “Mysteries of Chinatown.” Aesop Fables. Sanr Stern character comedian, still continues his highly successful season. In all his numbers last night-he received well-merited recalls. “Hello Rosie,” Tickle to Dcath” and his builesque om Italian opera appealed to liis audience, who vigorously clamoured for more. His final number was v in response to popular demand, ‘Banana’ which brought down the house. Sam Sterm should prove one of the biggest favourites who have visited this town. These nun.hers will he repeated tonight.
