BUDGET DEBATE OPENS IN

SENATE

MINISTER IN OPTIMISTIC MUCH

(Received April 13, 9.35 p.m.) PARIS, April 12. The Senate opened the Budget debate. M. Peret, Finance Minister, in an optimistic- speech, expressed the opinion . that France was at the end or her exchange crisis. He had met the great bank representatives and explained the measures adopted by Parliament* which he said would be ample to balance the 192-3 Budget. He added he expected to conclude an arrangement- in the near future for funding debts with Britain and America. The bank representatives bad promised them hearty co-operation. Reuter.
