The Capo Kidnapper ir gr nnets are reported to have returned to their rockery on t'me this season, and are el read v nesting, (says the Hawke’s Bay Tribune). Last spring they were late in arriving, apparently owing to an extraordinary scarcity of whitebait and herrings, which did not put in an appearance until a.fortn ght or so later than usual, This season the fish are already a,bout and the gannets duly follow. The gannet- is a wise old bird. He follows his larder.
