OTAHTJHU' TROTTING CLUB. BIG INCREASE IN “TOTE” FIGURES'. FIRST CARBINE WINS DOMINION HANDICAP. (PRESS ASSOCIATION) AUCKLAND, Feb. 25. The Otalnihu Trotting Club’s meeting concluded to-day. The weather wais line and there was .a large attendance. The totalisator handled £49,934, making £103,260 for the meeting compared with £93,586 last year. Also started : Canberra, Wild Nut Jnr., Lady Stepney, Copper, Wiltshire, Salesman, Colonel Thorpe, Timbell, Lady Ena, Sweet Memory, Katalo, Elsa Nore, Reta Huon, Bon Bon! and Tiki. Won by half a length, with a length between second and third. Time: 3min 41 sec. Lady Ena was fourth. -

Thorpe, Tanca.tua, Sidelight, My Junior, La Sonnette, Kingselere, Grey Peter, The Tartar. Won by two and a-lialf lengths : a neck between second and third.' Time : 3min 3-1 l-osec. Glenoc was fourth. Sideliglit, Grey Peter and Jewell Pointer collided at the head of. the straight and were turned out of the contest. Sylvia Park Handicap.—Mint Boy (Julian) 1, Master Councillor 2, Lady Rock away 3.
