VICTORIAN CROSSBREDS SHOW 10 PER CENT. ADVANCE.
United Press Association—Copyright. A!E|LBOURNE, Oct. 1. The wool sales continue. Merino wool has advanced about 13 per cent., compared with the closing rates of last season. Finer comebacks showed a 15 per cent, advance; fine crossbreds 10 per cent. Lambs’ wool showed a similar advance. —'U.P.A.
FLEECE WOOL PRICES EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH.
PERTH, Oc-t. 1. At the wool sales fleec-e wool sold at par with the Eastern States’ market. Pieces and sundries were exceptionally high. A large proportion of highconditioned and faulty wools were passed in.—U.P.A.

At the wool sales there was general and strong competition. Prices were five per cent, above those of the opening sales. Scoured touched 66d. — U.P.A.

STEADY COMPETITION AT PREVIOUS RATES.
LONDON, Sept. 30. At the wool sales 11,972 bales sold. For good wc-ols there was steady competition at previous rates. Faulty Lsorts sold irregular, there being frequent withdrawals. —Reuter.
