INANGAHUA MINERS’ PROTEbI AGAINST IMPORTATION.

REEFTON, June 4. The Inangahua Miners’ Union meeting unanimously passed the following resolution: “That this meeting of the coal mining section of the Inangahua Miners Union’ protest against the present large importations .of Newcastle coal by the New Zealand Government and' views witn alarm the harmful effect such importations are inflicting upon the coal mining industry in this district, ami that |a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr Holland, M.P., and Air O’Brien M.P., with a request that they bring the matter before Parliament.—P.A.
