A Chinaman, Chong Eoon, arnica with an axe in one hand and a chopper in the other, ran amok at- JnnisfaiL and murderously attacked three other Chinamen in a shop in Chinatown.- Two of liis victims were fearfully injured and arc not expected to recover. When Foon ran amok, the police were informed and two detectives dashed to shop, which was like a shambles with an excited crowd of several hundred people watching outside. Foon attacked the police, displaying maniacal strength. There was a desperate struggle, in which one of tho detectives was wounded in the, arm with the chopper before the Chinaman was overpowered.—U.P.A.
