DEPARTURE OF MR. F. C. PERRY,
The service which Ur F. C. Perry lias rendered to the Cook County Council dining the last seven years in the capacity of County C ork were iecoguised by the Council on Saturday, when presentations were made to him, on the eve or i.is departure to take up similar duties with the AYaitorao Countv Council.
The chairman (.Air G. 31. Reynolds) said they desired to express appreciation of Mr Ferry’s services and regret at losing such a valuable officer. On behalf of .the councillors lie presented him with a handsome silver teapot
suitably engraved. Afembers of the Council endorsed these remarks ar.d paid a high tribute to the abilities of the retiring clerk as a local body officer. They wore satisfied their loss was going to be the other county’s gain. Tne speakers expressed the best wishes forjdio success and happiness of Ur and 31rs Ferry and family in their new sphere. In' reply, 31 r* Perry thanked the councillors for their token of good wishes and for the consideration which had always been extended to him. He hoped that the good feeling and happy relationship he had enjoyed with the Cook Council would oe experienced at AA'aitomo. Later, the County staff met 3ir. Perry and presented him with a travelling rug. Air J. J. Keane referred to the harmonious relations existing between Air Perry and the staff. They wished Mr and Airs Perry every success in the future.
Air Ferry, in reply, thanked the staff for the kindly expressions and sentiments which .prompted the present.
