According to a telegram, the Philadelphia convention of the Protestant Episcopal diocese of Pennsylvania, alter revealing marked insurgency, adopted a resolution calling ror oijedieiice and support on the Prohibition question, which, duiing the past 24 hours, threatened to disrupt the tranquility of tire proceedings. It arose when a dozen delegates presented a counter-proposal stating that Prohibition enforcement was inefficient. corrupt and unpopular, wherefore the law should be repealed. A violent debate ensued and amid the disorder and dissension, one delegate, seeking to avoid ccnrtoversy, suggested that the resolution be tabled, since the Church did net require to declare itself o:i the question, but the insurgent minority meantime gained enough. adherents to force a vote, and a measure approving Prohibition was adopted bv 162 votes to
