SIX STUDENTS BEFORE COURT
AUCKLAND, May 4. Siv students at Auckland Training College—Frames Linburg, Victor C. Flutter, Arthur T. Larnson, Robert Flatt, George L. V. Hunter, and Ronald 0. Kirk—for having forged examination papers in the teachers examination, appeared for sentence at the Supreme Court. ... ~ Mr Justice Hcrdman said that all had attempted to obtain academic diplomas bv fraud, a disreputable thing to do. He could sentence them to imprisonment, but instead lie would fine each £lO, to be paid monthly, so that the accused and not the parents would be called on to pay the fines. r Application for the suppression of the names was refused.
