GISBORNE CENTRE. At a meetdng of the Gisborne Bowling Centre held on Thursday evening matters in connection with the forthcoming Burton Cup tournament wero dealt with. It was reported that twenty-eight rinks had entered, consisting of members of the Hastings, Napier, Wairoa, Te Karaka and Tolagia Bay Clubs, and all the local clubs. It was decided to play tlrree games of 21 heads each day and as Easter falls late in the season play will commence each day punctually to enable the games to finish at 5.30 p.m.

A committee was set up to inspect the looal greens and to get the best for tournament play. A vote of condolence was passed to Mr. J. Greig in the death of his son, and to Mr. A. W.
