The Central News Agency’s Paris correspondent reports a remarkable story concerning Madame Fahmyßey. She is living in France. It is understood that owing to legal obstacles, she cannot inherit her husband’s fortune of £2,000,000. ■ It* is alleged that Cassab Bey, a Cairo millionaire, recently approacned"Madame Fahmy Bey, suggesting that she obtain a male child and claim she was mother for her-story- Then it would Ire easy to gain possession of the estate. The woman pretended to be favorable to the scheme, hut told the police in whose hearing it is alleged that Cassab repeated the offer, and declared that lie had found a doctor to play the desired part. The next day Cassab was seen leaving the doctor’s house and was a nested.- it is stated ho confessed to the plot, from which lie had imped to n.uke iuOOO.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
