CARDINAL’S EDICT. B EARERS NOT TO BE ALLOWED COMMUNION. (Received July 30. 8.20 p.m.) LONDON. July '29. A message from Rome states that sleeveless dresses are the subject ot a note issued !>v tho Cardinal Partiarch of Venice to his clergy. He says t-hia women with arms bare to the shoulder may in no case take Communion. If they enter the precincts of a church so attired they must with dignified words of admonition be requested to leave at once. —A. and N.Z.C.A.
