A mol> soon collected and threatened the temple, but the arrival of the district magistrate resulted in the dispersal of the crowd. A mob again collected near the city and attacked the Hindu quarlers. but Indian cavalry and police restored order. Thirty eight persons were wounded, and sent to hospital. Of those, three aie in a serious condition. Orders have been issued prohibiting persons from loitering with slicks after sunset and the assembly of over 10 persons after dark.—.\. and' N.Z.C.A.
