Referring to Mr. Lloyd George’s Bristol speech, Mr. Ronald Mac Neil declared that it was not patriotic for a man like .Mr. Lloyd George to fan minor disagreements between France and England into the llame of estrangements. FOOD SHORTAGE IX RUHR. GERMANS IRRITATED AT SCARCITY OF POTATOES. GERMANS ALLEGE SHORTAGE . OF’ POTATOES. (Received Julv 30. 8.20 p.m.) ' PARIS, July 29. The food situation in tiie Ruhr is becoming desperate. 'I he French admit a shortage of meat and potatoes. Oniy 161 food waggons entered the Ruhr on Friday instead of the usual six hundred. The French and Belgians say they are not placing any embargo on tiie entry ol lot'?. i attribute the situation to financial chaos in Germany, making it difficult for Germany to obtain foreign supplies. A Berlin message, on tin? other hand, indicates that what irritates tho German people is not the fad of the mark, but the fact that pontoon, which are the staple food ol tiie masses, are almost banished from the artisan quarters. A FIASCO! RAIN SPOILS COMMUNIST DEMONSTRATIONS. (Received Julv 30, 8.5 p.m.) BERLIN, July 29. Tiie Communist demonstration at Potsdam was a fiasco.
