, —■ TAILOR’S SHOP DESTROYED. TE AWAMUTU. July 30. ' Shortly after five this evening fire was discovered in the business premises occupied by Henderson, tailor, 1 owned by the municipality. The fire brigade was quickly on the scene and prevented the spread of the fi.re to ail] oining premises. Henderson’s was gutted but some of the contents’ were saved. The adjoining office was just vacated to-day. The origin of the outbreak is unknown. The premises and stock arq insured but the amount is unavailable. Fireman Flicker sustained severe cuts on the arms by falling tnrough the roof of a lean-to at the back.—P.A.
