The training roms __ in Gladstone road were well attended by followers of boxing yesterday, when Jim rletu commenced Iris training. From 3 p.ni. till 5 the big Australian exercised, using the medicine ball and bag. He also ° put in some useful sparring work and those who witnessed the exhibition were shown that next. Thursday’s fight will provide an interesting contest. "Flett’s speed and. qiiicic footwork were favorably" commented upon by spectators. He will train every afternoon and those interested are invited to attend. Tom Heeney is to commence training on Monday evening, and will work nightly from 7 .30 till 9 o’clock. Both Heeney and Flett are anxious to meet any amateur boxers willing to act as sparring partners.
