DEBATE IN THE LORDS. IRISH POLICY OF LATE GOVERNMENT ATTACKED. LONDON, July 24. In the House of Lords, Lord Midleton, on behalf of Irish Loyalists, initiated a debate. A number of peers attacked the Irish policy of the late Government. Lord Birkenhead vigorously defended it. The Duke of Devonshire promised the Government would look after’tho interests of Irish loyalists.
