It provides for an express train between Gliristchnrcn and Grcymouthj connecting with the train for Hokitika on Mondays. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and Rewamu on Saturdays. There will he a saving of kill's. 52nnn. on the pre,sent time by making; the journey from Christchurch to Greymmith through tho tunnel. it is expected the control of the tunnel section _ he transferred from the Public Works Department to the Railway Department on the opening day. The charges for goods will he the same as those for similar distances on any other SOCthjii of the railway in the Dominion. There will he no special tunnel charges.—P. A.
