WELLINGTON, April 4. The writ for the Oamarn election was issued to-day. The polling will take place on Tuesday, MaV -. The roll for the Oamarn by-election closed on Saturday. Over a thousand new enrolments have been made. Or these quite six hundred are new names of electors coming of age and new arrivals in the district. The contest will he confined to the two candidates—the Hon. E. P. Lee (Reform) ; and Mr. J. A. Macpherson (LiberalLabor). Neither, candidate has spokenyet, but the campaign will open in :real earnest on Tuesday night, the (Rpme Minister being announced to ;Bliefak at Palmerston. —P. A.
