PROPOSED TAXATION ON BETTING.

LONDON, Feb. 4. The Pall Mall Gazette states that the Inland Revenue Department has proposed to Cabinet that betting on horses should be taxed hv licenses to all bookmakers and the taxation of winnings of their patrons. EGYPTIAN PROBLEMS SETTLED.
