DEATH OF LORD HARCOURT.
INQUEST TO BE HELD
LONDON. Feb. 24. The sudden death of Viscount Harcourt is announced.
(Received Feb. 26, 5.5 p.m.) Viscount Harcourt’s valet found him dead in bed in the morning. He bad been chatting with his wife and family till midnight. He had suffered from a weak heart for a considerable time. It is a coincidence that his father was found dead in precisely similar circumstances.
(Received Feb. 26, 11.8 p.m.) Rumours are afloat regarding Viscount Harccurt’s death and preceding events. .His family doctor had not attended him for a month previously, as Lord Harcourt had been in good health though sometimes depressed. Indications are that death was due to heart failure. The doctor has since consulted the Coroner who has decided to hold an inauest.— A. and N.Z. C.A.
