ITALIAN POLITICS.

LONGEST CRISIS IN HISTORY

NO SIGNS OF SETTLEMENT

(Received Feb. 23, S.l 5 p.m.) ROME, Fob. 22. The Parliamentary crisis has lasted for three weeks, a record in Italian Parliamentary history. No solution is visible. Giolitti definitely refused to form a Ministry while the Catholics are opposed to him, and Orlando and Denicofa refuse to form a triumvirate with him. Another .triumvirate i proposed is Orlando as Premier, Denicola as Minister of Homo Affairs, and Tittoni as Minister of Foreign Affairs, but Tittoni is in poor health. The newspapers angrily comment on the Catholic Party’s obstacles to settlement.—A. and N.Z. C.A.
