Nothing is known, of any vessel reported missing in tho vicinity of New Zealand that can he connected w the wreckage found on the beach at Mangere, Auckland. The missing Caiiastota was an iron steamer, and the description of the wreckage seems to indicate that it is part of a wooden vessel.. A draught horse wandering in Gore Street, Bitiff, early one morning proceeded to rub himself against a shop and completely wrecked a large plateglass window, which, it is estimated, cannot be replaced for less than £2O. Had the occurrence not been witnessed by a passer-by, the cause of the smash would probably have been the subject of much speculation. NOTHING MORE: TROUBLESOME.
