DOMINION FINANCE.

N.Z. MAY NEED FURTHER LOAN. PROPER TIME STILL AHEAD. WELLINGTON, October 5. Speaking in the House on the N.Z. loan Mr Massey said the financial people in London had done everything possible to make things easy for him. He really had not had any more dif : ficulty in borrowing five millions in" London, than he would have had in buving ten pounds of sugar in New Zealand. The committee of the stockexchange met him at a little luncheon and discussed the arrangements with him. When the time came to float the loan, they told him they would go ahead and presently he was told that the New Zealand loan was perfectly safe. He regretted at the time that he had been so modest in his demands. New Zealand might have to go back to the London money market, but he did not want to go back yet. He believed that more money would be available for New Zealand in L-ondon when the proper time came to ask for it.— Special.
