The petition presented to Parliament praying the death sentence on Hakaraia Tc Kahn be commuted, was considered by Cabinet to-day, when it was decided tliat it could see no grounds for recommending the Governor-General to grant the prayer of the petitioners. The law will take its course. —P.A.
