The Arahura was to leave Napier for Gisborne at 8 o’clock last night and is to be tendered with the launch for inward passengers at 6 o’clock this morning. The vessel is to be tendered again at 10 a.m. to-day for inward passengers and leaves later for Auckland. The N.Z. Shipping Co.’s steamer Ruapehu commenced loading at Gisborne yesterday and it is hoped that she will complete and clear for Tokomaru Bay by Monday night. She is to load further cargo at that port and upon completion, sails for Wellington en route to London! via Panama. The Koranui sailed from Timaru on Thursday night for Lyttelton where she is to continue loading southern produce for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She is expected to arrive at Gisborne on Tuesday, and after discharging here, proceeds to Auckland to finish unloading. The Dorset arrived at Napier from Wellington yesterday morning to load cargo. The vessel is duo to reach Gisborne on Tuesday next and is expected to finish loading here and sail for Auckland the following day. The Tiroa was yesterday engaged in transhipping wool to the steamer Ruapehu in the Bay and, upon completion, returned to the wharf to continue the discharge of her cargo. She is later to 1-oad general cargo for the Coast.

The S.S. and A, Co.’s steamer Atheivic sailed from Wellington, at 7 p.m. yesterday for the United Kingdom. The scow Cathkit left’Wairoa yesterday morning for Gisborne to complete the discharge of her Australian cargo. After. unloading here, the vessel is to lift a full cargo <of white pine timber for her return trip to Sydney. The schooner Elsie Mary began unloading timber at Gisborne yesterday and. upon completion, sails for Auckland.

The Harbor Board dredge “John Town ley” went on the slip yesterday morning for her annual survey and overhaul.

The collier Inga came up the river last night and was berthed at the town wharf ready to commence discharge this morning. After landing close on 500 tons of coal here, the vessel is to load a large quantity of timber for Sydney.
