FINAL ROUND DEFERRED
(Received July 28, 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 28. It is announced that the Mauretania fire is causing delay to the Indian team for the Davis'Cup. This has resulted in the postponement for one week of the match between India and Japan. The teams will meet at Chicago on August 18, 19, and 20. The final round will, therefore, also he postponed for a week until August 25, 26, and 27. The other semifinal at Cleveland, Australia versus England match and challenge round, are not affected.—A. and N.Z.C.A. ("Received July 28, 9.15 p.m.) OTTAWA, July 27. At Toronto Todd defeated La Frambois —6 —2, 6 —3, 6 —B, 6—l; Anderson defeated Bennett—6 —3, 6 0, 6—2. The kind of tennis the Australians have been playing is indicated by an analysis of the last two matches. Anderson made 27 placements, Bennett twelve,' Anderson nineteen; outs.
