Anne Luther is charming indeed. ■ ‘“The Daughter Pays” presents the 1 domestic drama of a girl marrying a man much older than herself. A man actuated by revenge, wins the daughter of the woman . who had rejected him years before, and in spite of liis harshness and jealousy, she succeeds in--.winning liis love. It is an “inside” story ,of married life, wonderfully realistic, intensely dramatic and full of strong interest, throughout. It is considered 'by critics to be thfe best Selznick production to date, -apd the picture is a triumph for Elaine Hammerstein. The same programme willbe screened matinee and evening.
