“WE WILL NEVER BE PARTED.”

WHAT EX-ARCHDEACON’S WIFE SAYS.

The Rev. John and Mrs Wakeford are expected to remain at the Precentory, Lincoln, England.

Mrs Wakeford’s confidence in her husband is unabated.

She declares they will never be parted, and proposes to help in their livelihood by spinning and knitting, in which she is an expert. Mr Wakeford is already engaged to lecture in 28 industrial centres, covering the Norths South and West of England. Texts of his lectures will be : r ‘Thy neighbour as thyself,” "A new England,” "Wthat matters?” "What is public opinion?”

He says his future work will probably not be definitely under the Church of England.

Meanwhile some of the furniture from the Precentory has been sold before a big crowd in the Lincoln Drill Hail.

Only household requisites were put to auction, and most of them were entered in the name of Mrs Wakeford. Things belonging to the ex-archdeacon were offered separately. To the dean’s appeal .for assistance in meeting the costs- of the Bishop of Lincoln in prosecuting the archdeacon there has been considerable response. They are. likely to amount to about £SOOO.
