TE KARAKA NOTES.

The 'IV Kama Debating Society opened its 1921 season last week with a Ladies’ Evening. Instrumental and vocal items were contributed by Mrs Goldsmith and Misses Doyle. Bylord and Burn. A word competition caused a good deal of amusement. Mrs R.. D. "Dymock filled the role of chairwoman to the- manner born. A hearty voto of thanks was acorded the ladies for -the nleasant evening’s programme provided. The. next meeting will be held on the 18th inst.. when members will enjoy "An Evening with Kipling.” The officers for the ensuing year are: President, Air W. M. Bridge; vice-presidents. Rev. Macdonald Aspland and Air J. Cartwright; lion, see. and treasurer. Miss Alclntyro; committee Rev. Collier. Miss Seamons, and Mr C. H. Bridge.—Special.
